Ellie came to me through rescue. She started as a foster pup with MidAmerica Border Collie Rescue because of her super bad "attitude" as a puppy. I have never seen a 10 week old puppy be so protective over its person as Ellie was. I didnt really have room for another dog, but I knew if I didn't take her then, she would be needing resuce as an adult with problems that would be near impossible to correct. So home she came.It was quite clear early on that she had a very high level of drive and intensity. She was totaly crazy about a frisbee right from the get go. As time went on, I got really attached to this little pup and in January of 2007 I officially adopted her.
Ellie quickly became my most skilled disc dog, and we have concentrated on that quite a bit. While Ellie is severly hampered by her handler she is nothing short of amazing.

This year (2008) I decided to start showing Ellie in Obedience and Rally. She finished her RN with all placements and even a 100! We have had decent scores in the obedience ring, with me having some health issues and being unable to train her. She recieved a score of 188.5 without any training during the previous two months. Thankfully I am feeling much better and am hoping for some better scores as we continue to show in the Novice ring in '09.
