February News

My apologies for having a dastardly computer crash in December! I never got to thank Brian for an incredible Xmas party, complete with great food, lively discussion and an awesome exchange of gifts! I am just glad I picked Amy's gift instead the one from Mike Toffolo! Bob what WILL you do with all that shampoo???

Next Incredible Club Dive February 6: We will be meeting at Blue Springs at Noonish on Sunday, Feb 6 to meet, get the Xmas Tree up, and of course, eat a bit. We tried last month, but as you know the weather conspired against us and the parking lots were a mud pile.

Also, since this is a winter dive and we need to stay warm apres dive, please bring something appropriate to share and eat and drink.

CLUB Meeting: Wed Feb 17, 6:30 at Divers Supply, Indy– we will see you at the February meeting 2/17 at DSI, where we will be honored to have a discussion on equipment maintenance, preparation for the coming dive season, and what needs to be done for the gear each year.

January Meeting: Huge thanks to Mike Ray for a great presentation on Great Lakes Shipwrecks. It was highly interesting to see what the ships looked like and what they did before they became a dive site. Mike and many of the people at the West store have become highly interested in wrecks and archaeology, and bring alot of knowledge to us. A huge thanks to Mike.

BONNE TERRE: Feb 19-21, 2005 Bonne Terre trip info. The total dive cost is $260. Jimi has a couple spots left. Hotel will be extra, but they are inexpensive at Bonne Terre. Contact Troy at troy.tricker@inin.com if interested.

Last Incredible Club Dive: Was the tree dive in December. A great time had by all.

Discover SCUBA for Riley: It looks like this will happen so keep Sat, April 16 and/or 23 open. I will get dates as soon as we have them. I have completed the form and need to get them to the proper people and arrange the pool. This should be a fun and profitable morning for Riley Hospital for Children!

Upcoming Items: Peggy Shepard has volunteered to discuss medical topics for diving; Bob Landrum will discuss Cave Diving;

Also, for a March dive we discussed a one day to Gilboa for St Paddy's Day and corned beef and cabbage; we discussed the Spring and Summer schedule and I would like to put that to bed at the February meeting. Also, an additional bus trip to Florida with the manatees was discussed for March 3-6. Ryan and Cyndy took the last one and seemed to enjoy it; especially how big the manatees are.
