WHAT'S GOING ON?
- ADULT READING PROGRAM! Our first adult reading program (Cozy up with a good book)
was very well recieved. We had over 30 participants. The program ended March 6. We will probably try
it again next winter, so watch for information!
- STORY HOUR! Story Hour will be starting again in October. Watch for further details
on our Story Hour page.
- LIBRARY BOARD MEETING! The Watervliet Library Board meets every month on the second Tuesday of the month.
These meetings are open to the public and start at 7:30pm.
The next meeting is Tuesday, Sept 14, at 7:30pm.

- WE ARE LOOKING FOR FRIENDS! The Watervliet Library really could use some friends! We are hoping to
start a new FRIENDS GROUP in the not-to-distant future. We need a few volunteers to help us get going.
Please let one of the librarians or the director know if you would be interested. What do "friends groups" do?
They help promote the library to the community, possibly volunteer in various capacities in the library, and raise
funds for needed items or projects which the budget cannot fund. Please, would you be our friend?
- READ, SHARE, GROW! The library, along with other libraries in the area is sponsoring a "one book, one community programcalled READ, SHARE, GROW!.
The selection committee has been busy selecting 5 books from which the public will chose one. The 5 books selected will be announced this fall, and voting will begin in January of 2005. Watch for more details soon!
